Is the Patch wheelchair accessible?Yes, as long as we haven't had torrential rain, the Patch will be accessible to robust wheelchairs and off-road buggies. Feel free to call us on 07734 742288 for an update on the day of your visit. Note that mud must be expected though!
-
Are you dog-friendly?Yes, we pride ourselves in being dog friendly - in fact we often have rabbits and cats visit us too! We ask that animals are kept on leads at all times though and any mess is cleared and disposed of responsibly.
-
Do we need to book?We very strongly recommend that visitors pre-book if you intend on parking at the patch. While during quiet weekday afternoons we can sometimes accommodate people just turning up, this is not possible during busy periods (weekends are always busy) and we sadly often need to turn people away. Parking costs £5 and you can stay as long as you wish. Entry to the patch is free, however, so if you are local and wish to walk, you're welcome any time and do not need to book.
-
Is it muddy?Despite our best efforts, the Patch can get muddy and is open to the all the elements hot and cold. Therefore we recommend you come dressed appropriately. We suggest wellies (or similar sturdy footwear) and rain coats if appropriate – don't you love the great British weather! If we're having a particularly rainy October the patch can get extremely muddy, including the car parks. We think it's all part of the fun but it's only fun if you come prepared!
-
Is seating available?Outdoor seating will be available along with many straw bales around the site, however please note that there is no seating under cover.
-
Do you accept card payment?Yes, we accept card payments, but not Amex. We are in a field in the countryside so please bear with us if payment takes a little while to go through. We also accept cash.
-
Can we walk to you? There are several countryside footpaths that lead to the Patch. Please visit Footpathmap for more information. Although we welcome visitors on foot, the Rotherwick Patch does not encourage parking in any off-site location as this can cause problems for people in the village and through-traffic.
-
What do I need to bring? We recommend some reliable wet weather gear and a phone or camera to capture all the great moments!
-
How much do the pumkins cost?Pumpkins are graded according to size and range from £1 for a munchkin up to £10 for a jumbo. We're proud to say we haven't changed our pricing since opening 5 years ago!
-
What happens if I turn up without a booking? We DO NOT recommend doing this, particularly at weekends. We allow booking for the quantity of cars we are able to safely manage. If you turn up at a time when we are not fully booked and we are able to accommodate your car then there is an entrance fee of £10 payable on-site. There is no local parking off the Patch.
-
What food and drinks are available? We will have a selection of refreshments on site - tea, coffee and our luxury hot chocolate; yummy cakes (including gluten free and vegan) and cookies. There are number of excellent pubs locally including: - The Coach and Horses, Rotherwick https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100033367347220 - The Leather Bottle, Mattingley https://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/leatherbottle/ - The Old House at Home, Newnham https://www.oldhousenewnham.uk/

This is valid for the full day, photography clients will need to purchase entry tickets through the ticketing website as per normal.
